The Holiday Concert was great!  The third graders are beautiful singers and dancers and look how nicely they look all dressed up!

 

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast!  Thank you to all the parents for donating juices and snacks to make the trail mix.  I am thankful for the wonderful third graders who shared the day!

While the power was out today we read in the hallway with the emergency lights!

We wrote our own fairy tale this week!  Here students are illustrating it.  Hopefully we'll have the book published later today.

The fifth graders came to our room and shared their ghost stories!  Thank you 5th grade!

The third graders donated 168 food items to the Servant Leardership Food Drive! Wow, that is a lot of families we helped feed!

Today we used a website called IXL to practice our math skills on the iPads!  Wow these things are sure motivating!

 

Next week we are going to be talking about Fairy Tales and writing our own Fractured Fairy Tale.  Watch this Silly Symphony of The Three Little Pigs from Walt Disney.

What a great Friday!  Thank you to the Hanover and Elizabeth Fire Departments for the demonstrations.  We loved the packets of goodies but the hats were the best thing ever!  We put them on at the end of the day and sent them home!  The fire fighters reminded us that we need to have a meeting place, at least two ways out, and we need to check our smoke detectors!

Okay, the first week wasn't quite this crazy!  We have been having a great time getting to know each other!

I deleted all the things from the computer class I took this summer so I can start using this site just for my classroom.  I am very excited about getting things ready for school to start soon!  Noelle started volleyball practice this morning and tonight.  I think I'll go to my room while she practices tonight.  I'll finish putting all my books in Accelerated Reader and register every one for their first years of HS and MS!
