STAR Testing

Today we did a great job of concentrating on our STAR testing for reading. This program is part of AR. It uses the testing results to give them their AR goal and level. So AR goals and levels will be coming home tomorrow.

Crazy Third Graders on the first day of school!

First Day of School

These are the best third graders ever!  We had a great first day and can't wait until tomorrow!

Instead of asking parents to donate miscellaneous supplies for the classroom this year we are asking that you just donate a Walmart gift card for any amount that you are comfortable with.  I will then use it to buy Ziploc bags, disinfecting wipes, napkins, paper plates, or any other supplies we may need throughout the year. Thank you in advance for helping support the 3rd grade and the River Ridge Community.

Meet the Teacher Night

     

     Meet the Teacher Night is August 20th.  This year students may bring in their supplies from 5-6 pm as parents begin to fill in paperwork. Then from 6-7 pm there will be three 20 minute sessions for parents to talk more with the teachers.  During this time students will be able to play on the playground with PTO/Specials Teachers supervising. I hope to see everyone there!

I have spent a couple of days working in the room getting ready for my new third graders! I am very excited to meet 20 new Wildcat faces and families!  I hope to see you at Meet the Teacher night.  Don't forget registration in this week!
