Another Busy Day!

Friday is Principal's Day so we covered Mr. Buchs' door with our handprints.

E is for EXERCISE!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather at the walk-a-thon today. Thank you to Mrs. Benson's class for organizing this fund raiser.

Many of us also donated $1 to Fairdale for Mrs. Albrecht's class project.

Bake Sale is a Great Success!

The totals are in! The third graders raised $550 for Fairdale by holding a bake sale last week. The students and staff purchased individual sized goodies for $0.25. Thank you to all the great families who donated baked goods. Also, thank you to all the staff and students who not only enjoyed the treats but felt the kindness to donate a little extra! Ann also helped us partner with Walmart in Galena to raise another $220. The third graders are seen here holding the 34 gift cards that we will be sending to the Hiwatha school principal who will distribute them to the families in Fairdale who need our assistance after a devastating tornado. I think their smiles tell you how proud and excited they are to help families just like their own in a time of need!

What an Exciting Day!

Today we had extra recess with the Servant Leaders, Noelle, Kayshe, and Cassidy, for winning the can drive last fall. Then we went to the petting zoo. After that we had an egg hunt. We also had music, a birthday treat, oreos, and ice cream at the petting zoo. I "little" sugar and then send them home for Easter break. At the end of the day we had Wildcat of the Month. Evan won this month for reaching his AR goal and just being a comical good friend.
We played kick ball against Mrs. Schafer's class for awhile.
It didn't take Cora long to find the horse.

Mr. Curry taught us about some of the plants the FFA students are growing in his room.

We also learned about corn, soybean, oat, and wheat seeds.

Kristina is cuddling with a bunny.

Dezi is petting the horse.

The egg hunt is on!

Vocabulary Fun

Ben's gentleman bowing.

Lynnea and Lance had a hard word but I think they  were the most creative. Their word was foreign so they made a boat sailing from one land to the other.

Evan's group had the word recipe so they made a bowl, a spoon, and some noodles.
